CONDITIONS TO ENTRY

NPL SEASON 3 - 2024

  • For a game, a team needs to have a minimum of 8 players registered with that team. In case if they are short of players in a game, then a team can have at the max of 3 players who are not registered with that team.
  • An individual player can represent at the most of one more team, other than his home team in the entire season.
  • The total games that a player can represent for a non-home team in the whole season will be 3.
  • The player who plays for a non-home team will not not be eligible to represent the non-home team in the playoffs.
  • A non-registered player can only bat from number 9 and down (When the team score reads 7 wickets down). The non-registered player will not be allowed to bowl any overs, however, can field or act as wicket keeper.
  • If a fill in player is playing in a team, the change should be informed to the league manager by Thursday (before the game week) by 8PM.
  • Through the season, a team can only use fill in players for a maximum of 5 games.

Fees:

  • Cricket Australia National Registration fee will be $22.50 per player, where there will be an exclusion subject to condition. The condition is that players are exempt from this fee if they had registered for the 2023-2024 summer cricket league, under any of the following associations - NDCA, NCSCA, CNS, MDCA, SD. Any player who has not registered as per the above will have to pay this fee. This fee component contributes to the player's insurance, meaning that the individual player's insurance will be covered in case of injuries. This fee goes directly to Cricket NSW.
  • Team registration fees: Unlike past years, there won't be an upfront lump sum team registration fees, however, the team registration fee component will be included while individual players register for NPL. The amount will be $16 per person. This fee will be collected by Newcastle Hunters.
  • Weekly Match Fees: The match fees will be $220 per team. Teams will consolidate the match fees from their individual players and transfer to Newcastle Hunters. Players aged below 18 are eligible for a match fee concession. Please refer to the match fee structure for more details.

Game Day:

  • A team kit will be supplied to every team before the start of the tournament which will consist of boundary cones, stumps, bails, score books etc.
  • A team is a Home Team, if their name appears first in the fixture. e.g; 9 AM : Newcastle Qalandars vs Knights Watchmen - In this game Newcastle Qalandars is the home team.
  • Prior to the game day (before Saturday evening) the home team captain will have to organize to pick up the new balls, the scoring device, power banks, used balls and cables from a pick up hub (the location will be advised by the organizers).
  • On the game day, the home teams will have to own the responsibility of ground management, including setting up the boundary and stumps.
  • Every game will be live scored on playHQ, and the online scoring will be done by the teams themselves. The organizers will provide the scoring device on the game day. e.g; In the Newcastle Qalandars vs Knights Watchmen game, if Knights Watchmen bats first, it will be the batting team's responsibility to do the online scoring. During the 2nd innings (Newcastle Qalandars batting), the scoring device is to be handed over to the Newcastle Qalandars's captain, and they are responsible for scoring. We will make sure in advance that all teams are familiar with the scoring process.

Prizes & Awards:

  • Apart from the weekly achievement awards every week, there will be a cash prize for the NPL 3 winners and runners up. Winners - $1000 and Runners Up - $500.
  • Fair Play Awards - $500 to be won by the teams accumulating the maximum number of Fair play points until the end of the season.
